What is kept, who can see it, and what you can do about it.

Last updated 29 July 2026

The short version

You are holding someone's health information here, often someone you love, and often at the worst moment of their life. We treat it that way.

Everything in this app is information you typed or uploaded yourself. We do not pull records from a hospital, and no doctor's office sends us anything.

What is kept

Only what you enter. That includes:

  • Your name and email address, so you can sign in.
  • The people you are caring for, their relationship to you, and their conditions, medications, care team, test results, allergies, and visits.
  • Questions you ask, and the answers you were given.
  • Notes you write, and questions you save to raise at an appointment.

Photographs and documents

When you photograph a medication bottle or a lab result, that image is read once and is never saved. There is no photo library on our side. What is kept is the information you confirm afterward, in words, and nothing else.

The app does not record audio. When it helps you record a visit, it points you at your own phone's recorder, and that recording stays on your phone.

Who can see it

You can. Other people using the app cannot, ever. Each account is separated at the database level, so one person's information is unreachable from another person's account.

We can. While this early version is running, the small team behind it can open the database and read what is in it, and does so to fix problems. Two internal logs also keep the text of medication and symptom questions, so the safety of the answers can be reviewed. We are telling you this because it is true, not because it is comfortable.

Two companies handle what is in your record, as part of making the app work. Anthropic receives your question along with the part of the record it needs to answer. Supabase stores the information and runs sign-in. Both are bound by their agreements with us.

The waitlist is separate from all of that. If you put your name down before there was an account to make, that list holds your first name, your email address, and who you said you are caring for. It is kept in GoHighLevel, which sends our email along with Resend. Neither of them ever receives anything from a record: not a condition, not a medication, not a visit, and not a question you have asked.

What never happens

Your information is never sold. It is never used to advertise to you or to anyone else. It is never handed to an insurer, an employer, or a data broker.

It is not used to train artificial intelligence models.

How it is protected

Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Your password is never stored by us or visible to us. Every table in the database enforces a rule that returns only your own rows, and the app checks ownership a second time before any change is saved.

No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If information here is ever exposed, we will tell the people affected.

What you can do

You can download everything you have entered, at any time, from the account screen.

You can close your account from the same screen. That erases your account and every record inside it. It cannot be undone, and we cannot bring it back for you afterward.

A note on the law

HIPAA governs hospitals, doctors, insurers, and the companies working directly for them. It does not govern this app, because we are none of those and because every piece of information here came from you rather than from a medical provider. That does not lower the standard we hold ourselves to. It only means the promises on this page are ours to keep, rather than something a regulator hands us.

This is an early version

The app is being tested by a small invited group. Things will change, including this page. If a change matters, you will be told rather than left to notice.

Reaching a person

Write to hello@verodawn.co and a person will answer. Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it, and we will.

Questions about any of this? hello@verodawn.co reaches a person.
